Course Overview
What You’ll Explore
The course begins by identifying major existential issues that many people in today’s culture struggle with. It then introduces the topic of worldviews: what they are, how they are shaped, and whether they can change.
Students are introduced to major worldviews including Agnosticism, Atheism, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Humanism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Marxism, New Age, and Taoism. The course then compares and evaluates these worldviews to consider whether all religions teach the same thing, whether all worldviews can be true, and whether any offer true hope.
